South City Hotels
The South side of Dublin's River Liffey contains many of the city's major visitor attractions, all within a walkable area.
From the splendour of Trinity College and the Bank of Ireland (formerly the House of Parliament) to Dublin's two cathedrals, the area is steeped in history and interest. To get a sense of being part of this history, try staying at the Central Hotel or the Shelbourne, two of Dublin's oldest hotels.
Further out are the business districts of Dublin 2 & 4 and the leafy suburban area of Rathmines. The business area is well supplied with hotels, but the discerning visitor looking for something extra would do well to check The Hibernian. Rathmines offers real value in two excellent hotels: The Rathmines Capital and The Charleville Hotel.
The Grafton Capital Hotel: The Grafton Capital offers a high standard of accommodation, and is ideal for both business and leisure travellers. Excellent dining and entertainment is offered in the Break For The Border bar which is located in the hotel, and all guests in the hotel receive a free VIP pass entitling them to free entry and VIP treatment in all of the Capital Bars properties. The hotel is located just one to ten minutes from Dublin's main visitor attractions, and two minutes from many of its main business districts.
The Alexander Hotel: Deluxe 4 star accommodation away from the bustle and yet just five minutes' walk from the main shopping areas. Close to the Art Gallery and Museums, as well as the main business district, the Alexander Hotel is the perfect choice for the business traveller, with state of the art conference facilities, an excellent restaurant and a fully equipped gym.
